Houston transforms into a festive wonderland every holiday season, offering dazzling light displays, immersive experiences, and family-friendly events across the city and surrounding areas. From Downtown celebrations to island escapes in Galveston, here’s where to soak up the holiday magic in 2025!
City Lights Downtown Holiday Magic (Nov. 22 – Dec. 31) brings 11 themed villages, ice skating, light displays, and mostly free activities.
New this year, Astros Light Up the Park (Nov. 22 – Jan. 4) turns Daikin Park into a festive Astros-themed light experience.
Zoo Lights (Nov. 21 – Jan. 4) at the Houston Zoo features immersive light installations, projection mapping, and new interactive attractions.
Nearby, Christmas Village at Bayou Bend (Dec. 5 – Dec. 30) offers a charming, art-inspired holiday experience with thousands of lights, faux snow, and family activities.

Uptown Houston Holiday Lights: 300 illuminated trees, 1000 twinkling stars, and over 16 million light combinations along Post Oak Boulevard.
Sugar Land Holiday Lights (Nov. 21 - Jan. 4): Millions of lights, Santa visits, mini golf, carnival rides, and an ice rink.
Moody Gardens Holiday in the Gardens - Galveston (Nov. 22 - Jan. 3): Ice sculptures, holiday lights, skating, and festive films.
Magical Winter Lights - Rosenberg (Nov. 21 - Jan. 4): Lantern displays, interactive zones, dinosaur exhibits, and themed attractions.
